Should I bring certain things?

Absolutely! The desert offers many challenges especially when out on the open road. There is a list of must haves that we require you to bring.

  • One gallon of water per person per day! Refillable water bottles are great too!

  • Hat, long sleeve shirt, and adequate hiking shoes.

  • First aid kit

  • Day backpack for small hiking adventures.

Are pets allowed?

There are no pets allowed. It should also be noted that Big Bend National Park does not allow dogs on the trails. With the desert like conditions, it is wise to leave all pets at home.

What are other recommended things to do in the area?

The Big Bend is an epic place to explore! Cruising in a Jeep and taking a tour out in the wilds of the desert is just one on the many adventures this area has to offer. Horseback riding, canoeing, and zip lining are some of the more popular activities. There are multiple guided services in the area that will not disappoint.
